Meet The Minds Behind Our Business
Director Richard Dodds is originally from a farming family in County Durham in the North of England. He moved to sunny Australia with his wife and co-director Lisa back in 2014.
Richard & Lisa reside on the Central Coast of New South Wales with their two children Rosie May & Isla.
Richard has retained his interest in farming despite working in various industries over the years. Richard decided to start up Aerospray Drone Solutions to re connect with his farming heritage in a new and exciting way.
As well as this Richard can see the infinite applications for aerial drone applications across multiple industries.
How we do business
As drone technology continues to gain popularity in various industries, it has attracted both skilled operators and those less experienced. Unfortunately, some operators rush to complete jobs as quickly as possible, often using expensive products under unsuitable conditions.
We prioritise thorough planning and transparency. Before arriving on site, we discuss the job in detail with the client and provide an estimate based on either the complexity of the task or the area (per hectare), never by the hour. We believe this approach helps avoid unnecessary pressure on both parties and fosters a better working relationship.
On the day of the job, we assess the weather carefully. We use an approved weather app before arriving and an anemometer on-site to measure wind speed, direction, Delta T and other conditions. If the conditions are not ideal, we won’t proceed with the task, ensuring we don’t waste the client’s money or compromise safety.
